Live wedding artist in Lake Como, Italy, Jamie & Lucie

This time last year I was on an adventure as a live wedding painter at the picturesque Villa Regina Teodolinda, perched on the breathtaking shores of Lake Como, Italy.

Being invited to capture the wonderful moments of a destination wedding was a dream come true, and it was an absolute delight to paint live guest portraits for Lucie & Jamie.

The Enchanting Atmosphere

As I arrived at Villa Regina Teodolinda, I was instantly taken by the old-world charm that exuded from every corner of the estate. The lush gardens, adorned with vibrant blooms, provided the perfect backdrop for the elegant outdoor ceremony. The lapping waves of Lake Como added a soothing melody to the air, creating a truly Pinterest board atmosphere.

A Feast for the Senses

Ah, the food! Italian cuisine is renowned for its delectable flavors, and the wedding feast was no exception. I was booked along with a team of other Uk wedding suppliers.

We sat around the table out the back for our supplier meal – and limoncello. I made some new friends.

The aroma of freshly baked bread wafted through the air, tempting the taste buds of everyone present. Not to mention the desserts.

Painting Hearts with Joy

As a destination wedding artist, my task for the day was guest portraits on watercolour paper. I aimed to capture the colourful summer dresses, joy and laughter shared by the wedding guests. Each portrait captured the essence of the person I painted, as they reveled in the joyous celebration of Lucie and Jamie’s day.

A Wonderful Wedding to Remember

The events of the day were everything you would dream from an Italian wedding. The departure by mini wedding car, the boat trip, the outdoor al fresco meal.

All against the backdrop of Lake Como’s shimmering waters , a sight you’ll never forget.

Bidding Farewell with Gratitude

As the day drew to a close, and the sun dipped below the horizon, guests continued on their celebrations into a silent disco.

I felt immense gratitude for being part of such a beautiful event. The couple, their families, and all the guests embraced me as one of their own, and I couldn’t have asked for a warmer reception.

Conclusion

Being an Italian wedding painter at Lake Como was an experience beyond compare. The beautiful atmosphere, the delectable food, and the overwhelming love shared by all made it a wedding that will forever hold a special place in my memories. Lake Como, I’ll be back.
