Live wedding painter Scotland – Cheryl Morrice

I paint live at weddings throughout Scotland and Europe.

I would be very privileged to be a part of your day and paint a memory for you to cherish forever.

As a live wedding painter, I have painted live at weddings since 2020 and have had the privilege to serve all over the UK in lovely places, from castles to cowsheds.

Whether you would like a grand sized painting of your day to display or a more whimsical watercolour painting I have a live wedding painting to tell your story for years to come.

Before the day

I consider your wedding portrait as a commission that starts on your wedding day.

Although I am painting live at the wedding, my paintings are considered a portrait commission which begins at the wedding and later developed in my studio.

We will have a chat about your chosen scene and couple pose for the painting.

Also it will be decided if any other people are to appear in the scene.

On the day

I will arrive early to the venue and start the painting preparation on the day before the wedding. The guests then have an idea of what to expect.

Your guests can watch the painting unfold throughout the day, however I am not in a rush to complete on the night of the wedding.

It requires patience and time to give you my best standards.

If you are simply looking for just an artist to bring entertainment on your day, my smaller painting option is best.

These paintings are completed on the day and presented for the evening.

Post event

If your painting is larger, I have likely taken it away to my studio for refinements. My current processing time is 6 weeks to delivery to the couple.

I paint in watercolour on archival paper.

Can I chose my scene?

Yes, you chose a scene of your choice for the day. Do you want a painting to focus just on the bride and the groom and venue ? Or do you want to include your entire family and bridal party? The first kiss? Last dance ? The reception dancing?I’ll create a painting that matches your vision.

Simply chose the size of canvas you would like and give me a brief description of your scene and how many people you would like in your painting . I can then formulate a precise quote for you based on this.

Do you travel?

Absolutely. I am currently based in Scotland in Fife. Depending on my bookings around your date, I will try and accommodate travel to your venue. I’ve always travelled and I have been blessed enough to paint and travel to some of the most colourful places in the world! Lookout for some destination wedding stories coming up this year in 2025.

How far ahead can I book ?

I would suggest to save your date sooner than later . I will hold your date for 24 hours at your enquiry until you decide.

I take on only a limited number of weddings per year. My diary for 2025 / 26 is now open for consideration of events.

What deposit do I require to pay?

For weddings, Cheryl Morrice Art works on £250 deposit paid initially for all packages and this is refundable up until 3 months before you’re wedding . The balance is due one week prior to your wedding .

A payment plan can be arranged if required.

Let me know if you wish any further info and email me today to save your date.
