Yesterday I had the pleasure of painting for Helen and David at their intimate restaurant wedding in Leith, Edinburgh.
The venue was the Conservatory at the Season Quayside down the Shore of Leith. It was a sunny, crisp March Saturday and a great day for a wedding .

The wedding ceremony was held in the conservatory of the restaurant by Andrew D Scott celebrant. If you don’t yet follow his antics on social media then do look him up. He is the funniest, beardiest, most Scottish looking celebrant you’ll meet.

After the wedding ceremony, it was time for drinks and canapés and my mission today is to paint all 30 guests. Not too challenging today. I mingled , took some photos to work from and got to work.

My easel was set up in the conservatory where the staff had diligently turned over the room for dinner. I enjoyed listening to the speeches as I painted away into the evening. Everyone had kind words to say about their quirky portrait to keep at the end of the night.

A new adventure for Helen & Dave starts here. All the best , Cheryl .
